Warren Buffet famously said “The difference between successful people and really successful people is that really successful people say “no” to almost everything. His rationale is that the most successful among us say NO because most impositions on their time won’t help get them to where they want to go.
As we approach the beginning of March and with the close of Q1 2023 right around the corner, let’s take a moment to reflect on where your time has been used… Are you pleased with your productivity?
I’ve asked myself that question all month. Turns out, I’m making some changes! The number of hours I have will not change. However, I can better use the gift of time in each day to spend it with more intention. Just a little progress each day!
I invite you to join me in a hard look at your calendar for the next two weeks. Cancel recurring meetings without agendas. Create protected “ME” time. Decrease your “busyness” and increase your productivity in service of the bigger impact you seek to achieve.
At the end of the day, time and money share many traits in common… Most importantly, if you are not careful about how you spend them, you can be assured, you won’t have any at all.
