How important is storytelling? I would submit it’s EVERYTHING.

It’s the compass for your marketing strategy.  Yes, storytelling.

Brand storytelling is no longer optional. It’s a requirement, and done well, will maximize your company’s visibility, profit, and impact.

When was the last time you loved a brand that didn’t capture your heart?

If you can’t unlock the heart, your brand will not develop a loyal following.  Without a loyal following, lifetime value suffers, and your business model falters.

That’s why brands should scale up brand storytelling efforts by 𝐬𝐩𝐞𝐚𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐡𝐫𝐨𝐮𝐠𝐡 customers rather than 𝐬𝐩𝐞𝐚𝐤 𝐭𝐨 customers.

So how do you spice up and scale your brand’s storytelling?

The DTC marketplace is very crowded with too many brands focused on data, analytics, and “pushy” sales messages.

Try to differentiate your brand by being more caring, authentic, and connecting at a deeper, human level. You need to hear your customers understand the stories that will move them.

Recognize and acknowledge the real pain point your customers face.  Demonstrate to your target audience that your brand understands their struggle and can make their lives easier.  Provide solutions!

Tell stories your customers relate to. Show them your brand has a soul. Your brand will connect more deeply and you will establish trust and confidence. This is how to turn customers into advocates.
